Friendly Cooperation Between the National Guards of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia Continues to Strengthen

A delegation led by Lieutenant General Saleh bin Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, Chief of the Military Apparatus of the Ministry of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, paid an official visit to Uzbekistan.
The guests were warmly welcomed at the Central Headquarters by the Commander of the National Guard, Major General R. Juraev. This meeting became an important step toward enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchanging experience.

The delegation first visited the National Guard History Museum, where they familiarized themselves with rich historical materials, exhibits, and the stages of development of the Guard.

Following this, negotiations were held between the two sides. During the talks, participants discussed similarities in the historical and modern missions of both institutions, as well as promising plans and cooperation mechanisms.

In particular, the discussion focused on maintaining public order and ensuring security, the significant role of the National Guard in safeguarding visitors at historical sites and in the tourism sector, and the effective use of innovative technologies such as drones and anti-drone systems. The parties also exchanged views on organizing joint exercises and training programs for special units, as well as cooperation in the preparation of highly qualified personnel.

It was emphasized that this meeting would serve as an important foundation for future cooperation, and both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening and further developing friendly relations.

The delegation then honored the memory of National Guard servicemen who heroically lost their lives in the line of duty, paying their respects at a dedicated memorial.

During the visit, the guests also became acquainted with the activities of the Situation Center, the National Guard Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the Information Service, the Children’s Psychology Center, the Special Battalion, and the University of Public Security.

Held in a spirit of businesslike and friendly dialogue, the visit concluded with the identification of several priority areas aimed at further enhancing mutually beneficial practical cooperation.

As part of their cultural program, the guests toured the State Museum of the History of the Temurids—one of the jewels of our capital—where they learned about the rich historical heritage of our ancestors. Their visit to the Center of Islamic Civilization also left a deep impression, as they observed the significant progress achieved in the fields of spirituality and enlightenment under the leadership of our Head of State.
