A Ceremonial Event Dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of Independence Was Held in the National Guard System

These days, the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan is being widely celebrated throughout the country under the noble motto: “Together as one Motherland and one people, we create a new life and a new future!”

A ceremonial event was also held in the National Guard system to mark this significant occasion. During the event, the dedicated service of military personnel who conscientiously perform their duties and achieve outstanding results was duly recognized.

In recent years, at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, large-scale reforms have been implemented aimed at building a New Uzbekistan, ensuring peace and stability in the country, and improving the well-being of the people. Particular attention is being paid to ensuring national security and public order, as well as reliably protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens.

Guided by these noble objectives, the National Guard has secured a worthy place in the country’s security system within a relatively short period of time. Today, National Guard personnel, demonstrating a high level of combat readiness, determination, courage and devotion to the Motherland, reliably safeguard the peace and tranquillity of our people.

During the ceremonial event, it was noted that, in accordance with the relevant decrees of the President, 13 military personnel of the National Guard system who have exemplary performed their duties and achieved outstanding results were awarded state decorations. They were honoured with the Dustlik Order and the Jasorat, For Faithful Service, and Shukhrat medals.

At the event held at the Central Office of the National Guard, the state awards were ceremonially presented to their recipients.

The Commander of the National Guard, Colonel General B. Tashmatov, attended the event and sincerely congratulated all personnel on the Independence Day. The orders and medals were then presented to the military personnel who had been honoured with state awards.

One of the most poignant moments of the ceremony was the presentation of the Shukhrat Medal to the parents of a serviceman who lost his life while performing his duty in defence of the Motherland.

The award represented a high recognition of the fallen serviceman’s selfless service to the Motherland, as well as a profound expression of respect and honour for his parents, who raised a true defender of the country.

In addition, commemorative badges marking the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan were ceremonially presented to more than 600 military personnel serving in the National Guard system.

Military personnel and representatives of the field who have conscientiously fulfilled their duties and made a worthy contribution to the development of the system were also presented with departmental awards. A number of military personnel were ceremonially awarded the next military rank of Colonel.

For every serviceman serving in the ranks of the National Guard, the destiny of the Motherland, the peace of the people and the preservation of peace and stability in the country are regarded as the highest goals. Behind every good wish expressed during the award ceremony, every decoration presented and every military rank awarded stand devotion to the Motherland, a high sense of responsibility and selfless service.

At the conclusion of the event, flowers were laid at the Memorial Corner of the Central Office of the National Guard, paying tribute to the memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the peace and tranquillity of the country.
