A meeting between the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Won Do Yeon, and the Commander of the National Guard, Major General R.Djurayev was held.

Today, on October 7, a meeting was held between the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Won DoYeon, and the Commander of the National Guard, Major General R.Djurayev.
In his opening speech, the Commander of the National Guard expressed his sincere wishes to Mr. Won Do Yeon on his appointment as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan and wished him great success in his responsible work to further development of cooperative relations based on mutual trust and respect.
During the meeting, the established comprehensive cooperation between our countries in the fields of defense, defense industry, security and law enforcement was emphasized.
In particular, on June 16-19, 2021, during the visit of the Chief Commissioner of the Korean National Police Agency Kim Chang-yong to Uzbekistan, a number of agreements were reached by signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Guard of Uzbekistan and the Korean National Police Agency, in addition, tripartite negotiations were held, and a practical cooperation plan was signed between the National Guard of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Korean National Police Agency.
Also, the issues of development of mutual cooperation in the areas of maintaining public order, protecting important objects, and cyber security between the National Guard of Uzbekistan and the Korean National Police Agency were discussed and the positive results of the organization of experience exchange, mutual familiarization visits, joint trainings, seminars and practical exercises in the field of training and upgradingskills of military personnel were noted.
In turn, Ambassador Won Do Yeon expressed his readiness to support all initiatives of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the development of bilateral cooperation with the Korean side.
At the end of the meeting, a number of agreements were reached on further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation with the Korean National Police Agency.
At the end of the meeting held in the spirit of mutual respect and trust, Mr. Won Do Yeon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan, wrote his sincere wishes in the book of honored guests.
