Practical visit of the delegation of the Turkish Gendarmerie to Uzbekistan

On November 12-15 of this year, the visit of the delegation of the Gendarmerie of the Turkish Republic, led by the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Gendarmerie of Turkey, Colonel General Huseyin Kurtoglu to the Republic of Uzbekistan was organized.

We remind that in November 2021, the Commander-in-Chief of the Gendarmerie of the Republic of Turkey, Army General Arif Cetin, visited the Republic of Uzbekistan for the first time. During the visit, an agreement was reached to strengthen and develop cooperation between the National Guard of Uzbekistan and the Turkish Gendarmerie.

During this event, was noted the strong strategic partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey, and prospects for cooperation in the field of military education were discussed.

The Turkish side expressed its readiness to further expand cooperation, highly appreciating the practical measures implemented within the framework of bilateral cooperation in recent years.

As a result of the negotiations, a number of agreements were reached on issues of training, increasing professional qualifications and retraining of military personnel of the National Guard of Uzbekistan and the Turkish Gendarmerie.

According to the program, the delegation visited the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center of Spirituality and Enlightenment of the National Guard, the Child Psychology Center and the Cavalry Squadron, also the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the press service and the “Temurbeklar” Military Academic Lyceum.
