Prospects for cooperation discussed

During his visit to Uzbekistan, the commander of the Mississippi National Guard, Major General Jenson Boyles, met with the Commander of the National Guard, Major General R. Djuraev.

The meeting was also attended by the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Daniel Rosenblum.

During the talks, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. General J. Boyles noted that destructive hurricanes often occur on the territory of the United States, the military personnel of the National Guard of Mississippi is widely involved in disaster relief efforts and security. He expressed readiness to exchange experience with Uzbek colleagues on these areas.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in the field of eliminating the consequences of natural and man-made emergencies.

During the visit, the US delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the University of Public Security of the National Guard, the Departments of Guard of the Bektemir district of Tashkent and the Bukhara region.

The visit was held at a high level in the spirit of mutual friendship.
