NEW ASPECTS OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

At the initiative of the National Guard, for the first time, a delegation of the National Security Guard of India, headed by Director General M.A. Ganapati, arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. Earlier, on January 25, 2022, a video conference meeting was held with the Commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Major General R. Djuraev with Director General of the National Security Guard of India M.A. Ganapati, during which the heads of agencies identified promising areas of collaboration and signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Guards of Uzbekistan and India. A solemn meeting of the heads of agencies was held at the Central Office of the National Guard, which was attended by representatives of the National Guard, members of the Indian delegation, as well as the military attaché at the Embassy of India in Uzbekistan. During the talks, issues of further expansion of practical cooperation and strengthening of interdepartmental interaction were discussed. In the welcoming part of the speech, the head of the Indian delegation, expressing gratitude for the warm and cordial welcome, confirmed the readiness of the Indian side to exchange experience and organize joint practical activities in the field of security and combating terrorism. As a result of the event, a Plan of Practical Cooperation for 2022-2024 was signed, which provides for the implementation of a number of joint practical events for the exchange of experience in the field of combat and special training. A DELEGATION ARRIVED TO UZBEKISTAN GENDARMERIES OF TURKEY

 Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, a delegation headed by the First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Gendarmerie of Turkey, Army General A. Chardakchi arrived in Uzbekistan The visit began with a visit to the park «Yangi Uzbekistan» and familiarization with the Independence Monument. A DELEGATION OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC ARRIVED IN UZBEKISTAN

Within the framework of bilateral cooperation on May 9 this year, a delegation of the National Guard of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by Commander Colonel T. Ergeshov arrived in Tashkent. Earlier, at the initiative of the Uzbek side, the heads of agencies held negotiations via video conference on the prospects for strengthening and developing bilateral cooperation. The visit began with a visit to the park "Yangi Uzbekistan" and familiarization with the Independence Monument. PROMISING AREAS OF COOPERATION WITH THE UAE WERE DISCUSSED  

On April 14 of this year, the Commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Major General R. Djuraev, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Said Matar Al-Kamzi. The meeting was attended by a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the head of the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan, colonel M. Rustambaev and other responsible heads of the Central Office of the National Guard. The purpose is to discuss the issues of establishment and development of cooperation between the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. During the meeting, the Commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan acquainted the head of the diplomatic mission of the United Arab Emirates with the main functions and tasks of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In turn, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Uzbekistan, Mr. Said Matar Al-Kamzi, expressed readiness to support the establishment of cooperation between the National Guard of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United Arab Emirates in the field of public order, internal security and the protection of important state facilities. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to work out the issue of cooperation in the field of military education between the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the UAE Police Academy. Prospects for cooperation discussed

During his visit to Uzbekistan, the commander of the Mississippi National Guard, Major General Jenson Boyles, met with the Commander of the National Guard, Major General R. Djuraev. The meeting was also attended by the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Daniel Rosenblum. During the talks, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. General J. Boyles noted that destructive hurricanes often occur on the territory of the United States, the military personnel of the National Guard of Mississippi is widely involved in disaster relief efforts and security. He expressed readiness to exchange experience with Uzbek colleagues on these areas. Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in the field of eliminating the consequences of natural and man-made emergencies. PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPING INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION DISCUSSED

The Department of International Cooperation of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan carries out systematic work to establish and develop international cooperation. In particular, on the initiative of the Uzbek side, on March 17 this year, a meeting was organized between the commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Major General R.Djuraev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Yusuf al-Utaibi. The goal is to discuss the issues of establishing and developing cooperation between the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Guard of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the negotiations, the commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan briefed the Head of the diplomatic mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the functions and tasks of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In turn, Mr. Yusuf al-Utaibi supported the initiative of the Uzbek side and expressed his readiness to assist in establishing cooperation between the National Guards of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting was also attended by the First Secretary - Head of the Consular Department Sh. Adilov and the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Kingdom of Spain U. Yuldashev. First of all, the sides expressed their readiness to develop bilateral cooperation in all areas of activity, including in the field of security. During the conversation, the sides discussed the prospects for further bilateral cooperation in the areas of training and retraining of military personnel, ensuring public security, conducting joint exercises and trainings, as well as exchanging practical experience of special forces units. As a result of the video conference call held in a constructive atmosphere, an agreement was reached to implement a number of joint activities in 2022 and in subsequent years.

  Prospects for military cooperation were discussed

 The Commander of the National Guard, Major General R. Djuraev, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat . It was noted at the meeting that centuries-old trade, economic, historical and cultural ties between Uzbekistan and India are still developing in all spheres, and our countries closely cooperate in a number of international and regional organizations such as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. During the talks, it was noted that the cooperation between the National Guard and the Indian National Security Guard fully corresponds to the common views and approaches in the field of security and defense between our countries. The Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, Mr. M. Prabhat, expressed support for further cooperation of the National Guard with the relevant military and law enforcement agencies of India in the field of public order, internal security, protection of important state facilities.
